These terms govern your use of RoadDog, including the road.dog website, the RoadDog mobile applications, and the RoadDog Smart Tag. The service is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY]. By creating an account, buying a tag, or using the service, you agree to these terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and a US resident to use the service.
You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
The Smart Tag is a Bluetooth pet identification device. It is not a location tracker, a substitute for a microchip, or a guarantee that a lost pet will be returned. The tag is sold subject to the warranty terms posted at purchase.
Pet records are partitioned into three tiers as described in our Privacy Policy. Public information is shown to anyone scanning the tag. Detailed medical and insurance information is shown only to veterinarians you authorize. Owner information is visible only to you.
You may not use the service for unlawful purposes, submit false information, access another user's record, use the contact relay to harass or impersonate anyone, reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with its operation.
Premium features require a paid subscription, currently US$9.99 per month. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel from your dashboard at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not refund partial billing periods except as required by law.
Smart Tags are sold at posted prices and shipped to US addresses only. Defective hardware may be returned within 30 days of delivery for replacement or refund. Customized hardware is not returnable except for manufacturing defects.
If you opt in to SMS, you agree to receive messages at the phone number on file. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. See the SMS Notification Consent page for full details.
You retain ownership of the photos and information you upload about your pet. You grant RoadDog a non-exclusive license to host, display, and process this content as needed to operate the service.
The service, including software, designs, logos, and trademarks, is owned by RoadDog. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of the service without our written consent.
We strive to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
The service is provided on an as-is basis. RoadDog disclaims all warranties to the extent permitted by law. RoadDog does not warrant that any lost pet will be found or returned. RoadDog is not a veterinary service and does not provide veterinary advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoadDog's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. RoadDog is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any injury, illness, loss, or death of a pet.
You agree to defend and hold RoadDog harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these terms, your user content, or your misuse of the service.
We may suspend or end your account for violation of these terms. You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. Certain data may be retained as required by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE]. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in [CITY, STATE], except either party may bring claims in small claims court. You and RoadDog waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the service or by email.
