Realize your pet is missing? Tap Lost Mode in the RoadDog app. The public profile turns red-urgent with elevated contact info so any finder knows to act fast. Switch it off when your pet’s home, and the profile quietly returns to normal.
Most pet tags don’t do this. It’s the difference between “found a dog” and “found YOUR dog and they need you now.”

Common questions
Does this replace my dog’s city license?
Eventually, we hope so. RoadDog is built to be the next-generation dog license — digital, modern, and far more useful than a metal disc with a number on it. For today, the legal license your city issues is still separate — keep both on the collar, side by side. Finders will use the RoadDog tag. (If you work in municipal licensing, see below.)
What if my pet never gets lost?
You only need this once. We hope you never do.
Will my contact info be public?
No. Finders message you through a secure form on your pet’s profile. Your email and phone are never displayed.
What if the finder doesn’t have the app?
They don’t need it. The QR on every tag works with any phone camera — no app, no account, no download required.
How big is the tag?
About the size of a poker chip — ~38mm wide, 6mm thin, around 10g. Light enough to live on a collar all day.
How long does the battery last?
We’re still finalizing the battery design — the goal is a year or more of life with low day-to-day fuss. Specs will be confirmed before launch.
What if I have more than one pet?
Each Smart Tag is per-pet, so each dog or cat needs its own. We offer a 2-pack at $49.99 (saves $19.99 vs. buying singles).
Do you ship internationally?
US only at launch. International shipping is on the roadmap.
What’s your return policy?
30-day returns for unused tags. If something arrives damaged or the tag stops working, we’ll replace it.
